Shantabaa Medical College & General Hospital, Amreli is a relatively new but well-equipped medical institution under Gajera Trust, located on Civil Hospital Campus, Amreli. It operates a 300-bed tertiary care hospital which includes surgical facilities, operating theatres, emergency services, ICU, anaesthesia department, etc. The MD Anaesthesiology program provides three years of rigorous full-time training under Saurashtra University, following the norms set by the NMC. Students get exposure to a wide range of clinical scenarios: surgical anaesthesia, pain management, emergency resuscitation, post-operative care, critical care settings, and monitoring. The training also includes rotations through allied departments, work in ICU, operations, perhaps disaster/emergency duty, and hands-on experience under supervision. The aim is to produce competent anaesthesiologists ready for independent practice or further specialization. The seat intake for this course is 4 seats annually.

1. Ensure eligibility: MBBS degree, internship completed, and medical registration.
2. Appear for NEET-PG in the relevant admission year.
3. Obtain NEET-PG score and percentile as required.
4. Participate in counselling (both state quota and/or All India Quota if applicable) where MD Anaesthesiology seats are offered.
5. During counselling, fill choices/preferences — include Shantabaa Medical College for MD Anaesthesiology.
6. Document verification: submit MBBS certificate, internship certificate, registration certificate, NEET-PG scorecard, caste/domicile proof etc.
7. If seat is allotted, pay the required tuition/fee/other charges.
8. Join the course on or by the date specified, attend orientation, start the academic curriculum and clinical postings.
