MD Anesthesiology

Overview

• Banas Medical College & Research Institute (BMCRI), Palanpur, established in 2018 under the PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model, is affiliated with Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University and recognized by the National Medical Commission. 
• The MD Anaesthesiology program offers students rigorous clinical training in anaesthesia, perioperative management, pain relief, emergency airway management, and critical care. The department is equipped to provide hands-on exposure to various types of anaesthesia (general, regional, local), usage of modern monitoring equipment, and management of surgical and non-surgical patients in the operating theatre and ICU settings.
• Students engage in lectures, practicals, seminars, case-discussions, and completion of a thesis or research project as required by curriculum norms. The attached hospital provides a clinical base with operating theatres, ICUs, pre-operative and post-operative care facilities, to ensure adequate exposure.

Eligibility

• Must hold an MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
• Must have passed NEET-PG exam. 
• Must have completed the compulsory internship. (Implicit in PG admissions in India.)
• Registered (or eligible for registration) with Medical Council or State Medical Council. (Standard requirement for PG medical courses.)
