MD Anesthesiology

MD in Anaesthesia is a three-year postgraduate programme that includes the study of managing medications provided to the patients either by injection or by inhalation that cause a temporary state of loss of consciousness or awareness, thus blocking operative pain and suffering. The programme prepares students for administering drugs that reduce or eliminate chronic pain for patients of all ages keeping all risk factors in mind, demonstrate skills in ethical, medical, and legal aspects related to anesthesiology, and develop efficiency in laboratory procedures to manage critically ill patients.

A candidate who has selected for admission to a postgraduate degree shall possess MBBS degree or equivalent qualifications as specified by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
