Overview
The MD in Anesthesiology at FAAMCH is a three-year postgraduate residency program that prepares medical graduates to become skilled anesthesiologists and critical care specialists. FAAMCH, a government medical college established in 2011 and affiliated with SSUHS, provides advanced training through well-equipped operation theatres, ICUs, and emergency care units. The Department of Anesthesiology ensures hands-on exposure in general and regional anesthesia techniques, airway management, trauma care, ventilatory support, and perioperative monitoring. Academic learning is reinforced through seminars, case discussions, research work, and journal clubs. Postgraduates are also trained in pain management clinics and intensive care units, enabling them to handle high-risk surgeries and critically ill patients. The program equips graduates for careers in hospitals, academics, and advanced super-specialty training like DM (Critical Care or Pain Medicine).
