MD Anatomy

• MBBS degree (or equivalent) from a recognised medical college.
• Minimum 55% aggregate in MBBS for General / Unreserved category; reserved-category relaxations as applicable.
• Qualify in the INI-CET exam.
• Other standard requirements: completion of internship, registration with the Medical Council, fulfilment of category quotas, etc.

MD Anatomy at AIIMS Bilaspur is a three-year postgraduate medical course aimed at developing deep expertise in human anatomy. Students undergo rigorous training in gross anatomical dissection, histology, embryology, and applied anatomy relevant to clinical practice. The course combines theoretical lectures, practical dissections, histological lab work, and teaching assignments to undergraduate students (often, MD Anatomy faculty teach MBBS batches). Research methodology is also part of the syllabus, with a requirement for thesis work. Students will understand anatomical variations, developmental anomalies, neuroanatomy, surface anatomy for clinical examinations and imaging correlation. The AIIMS Bilaspur campus provides the required laboratory infrastructure, faculty guidance, and exposure to anatomy teaching and research. Because seat availability is limited, competition is strong; selection depends on INI-CET rank and fulfilling academic & regulatory criteria.

1. Ensure possession of an MBBS degree + completion of internship + required marks (55% or more for the general category).
2. Keep track of the INI-CET (PG) exam notification for that year.
3. Register, appear and qualify INI-CET.
4. After INI-CET results, check the AIIMS Bilaspur PG counselling/seats notification and take part in counselling.
5. If your score/rank meets the cutoff for MD Anatomy, choose it during seat allocation.
6. Carry out document verification, fee payment, and other formalities.
7. Join the course as per the schedule and begin the academic program.
