Overview

    Regular teaching and training is done for junior and senior residents of the department. The department has prepared a schedule of activities, such as, Seminar moderated by Dr. V C Jha on every Monday, JC presentation is moderated by Dr. S K Singh on every Tuesday. Wednesday is the day for panel discussions on Basic Neuroscience and Case presentation’ are done on Thursday’s. Case presentation, discussions on Advances in Neurosurgery, DRC and Clinical Indicators are presented by Dr. V C Jha on Friday’s. Neuro-radiology meet/ Neuropathology meeting and Special Clinics on Cerebrovascular & stroke /Spine clinic are done on alternate days.

Eligibility

    A candidate must have passed the M.S. degree in Surgery of this Institute or any other University or any other equivalent degree recognized by the MCI.

Minimum Education

MS (Master of Surgery)

Admission Process:

    Selection for M.Ch courses are made through 2 Stage Performance Evaluation basis.

    • Stage I: Written-test carrying 80 marks of 90 minutes duration in the subject the candidate has applied for. The question paper will consist of 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
    • Stage II: Out of the candidates who have secured 50% or more marks [as per the decision of the meeting of the 116th Academic Committee (item No.AC/116/10 dated 06.03.2018) in the written test (Stage-I), candidates 3 times the number of seats advertised will be called for departmental clinical/practical/lab-based assessment (carrying 20 marks).

    Final Selection: The final result will be declared based on the basis of total marks obtained in stage-1 and Stage-II Examination.
