Overview

Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Bellur, runs a functional Department of Neurosurgery with experienced faculty and surgical services — the department performs neurosurgical procedures, maintains academic activities, and supports undergraduate and PG clinical exposure. The department lists consultants and faculty with MS / MCh qualifications and runs clinical services, teaching rounds and academic programmes for trainees. However, AIMS’s official PG seat-matrix and admissions lists show MD / MS and other PG courses but do not show a sanctioned MCh Neurosurgery programme (2024–25). If you are looking specifically to pursue an MCh in Neurosurgery you will need to verify whether AIMS has applied for or received sanction (this is not yet reflected on their public PG documents). For now, neurosurgical clinical exposure at AIMS is available via the department (for MBBS / MS training and clinical work), but super-speciality (MCh) training is not officially published.
