Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi was established in 1958. It is also known as MAMC. It is a medical college in New Delhi affiliated to the University of Delhi. The college is named after Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, an Indian freedom fighter and educationist. The foundation stone of Maulana Azad Medical College was laid by the then Home Minister of India, Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant. Maulana Azad Medical College is attached to the Lok Nayak Hospital (earlier known as Irwin Hospital).
