Master of Surgery (MS)

Overview

The MS program at DU-affiliated UCMS and LHMC provides hands-on surgical training in core specialties including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Ophthalmology. Conducted over three years (or two for diploma holders), the curriculum balances theoretical instruction, supervised operative experience, and emergency care. Residents gain exposure to high caseload environments at GTB Hospital (for UCMS) or LHMC’s hospitals. The training emphasizes technical proficiency, critical decision-making, and ethical surgical practice—a foundation for careers as skilled surgeons. 

Eligibility

MBBS degree with valid registration from MCI/NMC or State Medical Council

Completion of the compulsory rotating internship

Valid NEET‑PG score, required for both All India and DU State quota counselling
