The M.Sc. Nursing programme at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Nursing is a two-year postgraduate course designed to deepen nursing knowledge and clinical-specialty skills, preparing graduates for advanced roles in healthcare, research, education and administration.
Students can specialize in different branches depending on their interest and hospital-institute availability — for example:
The curriculum includes advanced nursing theory, research methodology & statistics, clinical specialty training, management & administration aspects, and dissertation/research project in second year.
Because the institute is attached to a teaching hospital, students get clinical exposure — crucial for hands-on learning. Their training environment includes laboratories, hospital wards, and library resources supportive of advanced nursing education.
Post-M.Sc, graduates are eligible for higher career paths: roles as senior nurses, clinical instructors, administrators, specialized care nurses, educators, or further research/PhD in nursing and allied hospital management.
