Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Surgical Nursing

• The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equalent to any state Nursing Registartion Council
• The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc Nursing / B.Sc Hons Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum of 55 % aggregate marks.
• The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc Nursing / B.Sc Hons Nuring / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing in an institution which is recogonised by Indian Nurisng council.
• Minimun one year of work expierence after Basic B.Sc Nursing.
• Minimum one year of work expierence prior or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
• Candidate shall be medically fit
• 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given

A Master degree in Nursing imparts the knowledge and skills necessarily required for preparing the nurses by giving them clinical decision making skill based on theory & research. In nursing services, the nurse works with the members of allied disciples such as dietetics, medical social service, pharmacy etc. in supplying a comprehensive program of patient care in the hospital.
