Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Biotechnology

Overview

The M.Sc. Medical Biotechnology is a DBT‑curriculum based two‑year postgraduate course designed to produce skilled graduates capable of working in clinical diagnostics, biomedical research, and healthcare industries. It emphasizes molecular biology, genetics, immunology, medical microbiology, biostatistics, and analytical techniques. The curriculum includes industry‑oriented certificate courses, hospital and industry training, research project and dissertation work, with practical exposure in state‑of‑the‑art laboratories and real‑world settings 

Eligibility

Undergraduate pass in eligible disciplines as described under Minimum Education.

Admission split: 10 seats via GAT‑B (Graduate Aptitude Test in Biotechnology) and 10 via Bharathiar University entrance test 

Expected minimum qualifying percentage: Bachelor’s in life sciences with ≥ 60% (for general candidates)
