Master of Science (MSc) in Biostatistics

Overview

The M.Sc. Biostatistics programme at Bharathiar University equips students with theoretical and applied statistical skills tailored to the biomedical, epidemiology, public health and clinical research domains. Students learn probability, inferential methods, sampling, experimental design, survival analysis, multivariate techniques and statistical computing using software such as R, SPSS, and SAS. With structured coursework, practical lab sessions and a project component, the curriculum prepares graduates for roles as biostatisticians, data analysts, or research assistants in healthcare industry, pharmaceutical companies, CROs, hospitals and academic institutions.

B.Sc. in Statistics, Mathematics or Mathematics with Computer Applications (including statistics paper)
