Master of Science (MSc) in Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing

• The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
• The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc Nursing /Bsc Hons Nursing/Post Basic B.sc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

Programmes Overview: Maternal Health Nursing inculcates the leadership skills of the student to handle stressful healthcare settings of maternal and child health. This course trains the students with inter professional skills to serve childbearing women and kids under the age of 5 years old. The general nursing course prepares the student to evaluate the patient requirements and offer them effective nursing facilities.

Advanced Degree: After the successful completion of the M.Sc Nursing course, the student can proceed in higher studies by applying M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Nursing.

Career: The Post-Graduate students can find employment in various areas such as Babysitting, Hospital Administration Jobs, Women Healthcare Centres, Nursing Homes, Medical Colleges/Universities, and Private Clinics. The students acquire designations like Healthcare Assistant, Nurse Manager, Nurse Superintendent, Ophthalmology Nurse, and Staff Nurse in leading hospitals.
