Eligibility
- A candidate will be eligible for registration for Post Graduate Degree, if he has completed satisfactorily one year rotating internship after passing Final M.B.B.S. Examination and has got himself registered with the State Medical Council.
- No person shall be registered for the Post Graduate Degree course unless such a person is in a position to work as a full time Resident student for the period applicable in his case.
- The candidate will be selected according to the existing rules and regulations issued by the Medical Council of India.
- The academic merit, for admission to degree and diploma courses shall be on the basis of merit as determined by the NEET provided further that minimum percentile of marks for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Course shall be 50 percentile or as decided by the Govt. of India at the entrance test.
- The period of regular course of study for the Post Graduate Degree shall be of three years for Post graduate Degree and two years for Post graduate Diploma after successful completion of one year’s rotational internship
Provided, that the period of study shall be less by one year in the case of students having a recognized two year post graduate diploma course in the same subject.
Student, so selected for admission to post graduate medical course shall possess recognized MBBS degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India, or any of the State Medical Councils or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
