Master of Science (MSc) in Microbiology

Candidate should have B.Sc with- CBZ/Microbiology/Industrial Microbiology/MLT/Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Food Science Technology/Agriculture/Applied and allied Sciences with 45% aggregate. For SC/ST categories as per University norms.

Microbiology is a research oriented field, deals with several disciplines like Virology, Bacteriology, Mycology Immunology, RDT, Microbial Genetics, Biochemistry, Physiology, Extremophiles, Fermentation Technology etc. Recent trends from the industry focus on production of totally new eukaryotic compounds like insulin, interferon and other recombinant products, using microorganisms in large quantities. There are a number of probiotic microbes being used in the manufacturing of various foods and pharmaceutical products.

Admission will be on the basis of Entrance Exam /Merit.
