Overview

• Post graduate programme in nursing builds upon and extends competence acquired at the graduate levels, emphasizes application of relevant theories into nursing practice, education, administration and development of research skills.
• The course prepares nurses for leadership position in nursing and health fields who can function as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, administrators and researchers in a wide variety of professional settings in meeting the National priorities and the changing needs of the society.
• It provides the basis for the post-master programme in nursing. Further the programme encourages accountability and commitment to lifelong learning which fosters improvement of quality care.
• The course fee for First Year INR 39,000/- and for Second year INR 28,000/-

Eligibility

• The candidate should have passed B.Sc. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
• Candidates should be a registered Nurse and a Registered Midwife of any State Nursing Council.
• Must have secured not less than 50% marks in the Entrance Test.
• Minimum one year of work experience after registration of B.Sc. nursing or Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Registration Post Basic B.Sc nursing
• Student should be medically fit.
