Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Surgical Nursing

Overview

This Course Is Designed To Assist Students To Develop A Broad Understanding Of Fundamental Principles, Concepts, Trends And Issues Related To Education And Nursing Education. Further, It Would Provide Opportunity To Students To Understand, Appreciate And Acquire Skills In Teaching And Evaluation, Curriculum Development, Implementation, Maintenance Of Standards And Accreditation Of Various Nursing Educational Programs.

Eligibility

1. An applicant shall be eligible for admission to Post Graduate Degree, if he has completed one year teaching or clinical experience after passing the Final B. Sc. Nursing /B. Sc. Hons. Nursing and B. Sc Nursing (Basic) Examinations with 55% aggregate marks. Minimum one year experience prior or after Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing (i.e. after GNM Course) will be considered. The candidate should be registered with the State Nursing Council.
2. 5% relaxation in passing marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.
3. No person shall be registered for the Post Graduate Degree course unless such a person is in a position to work as a full time Resident student for the period applicable in the case.
4. The candidate will be selected according to the existing rules and regulations prescribed by the INC/MNC.
5. The number of candidates registered will be in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Indian Nursing Council and shall be selected strictly on the basis of their academic merit OR as per the directions of the Indian Nursing Council.
6. The academic merit, for admission to degree courses shall be on the basis of merit as determined by the Krishna All India Entrance Test conducted by the University on all India basis OR as per the directions of the Indian Nursing Council.
