Cardiovascular imaging plays a vital role in the management of the cardiac patient. Knowledge of various imaging modalities is critical to understanding their problems. Over the past 10 years, a tremendous expansion in cardiovascular imaging with remarkable advances covering all aspects of the cardiac anatomy and functions has taken place. This technology has also changed modern medical practice. Echocardiography is by far the most used cardiac imaging modality worldwide, remains the primary mode of initial investigation in suspected cardiovascular disease and become essential in the management of patients with all types of heart disease.
Outcome: This program generates M.Sc. graduates with very good employment potential both at the national and international levels, as the trained echocardiac technologists are in high demand in corporate hospitals. Eligibility
MBBS / BDS / B.Sc. (Allied Health Sciences) degree awarded by a recognized Indian or Foreign University with a minimum of 50% marks (Candidate with specialization in the relevant area will be given preference). A candidate with three year B. Sc. (Physician Assistant) degree shall also apply if the candidate holds one year of internship or hands on training in the relevant field.
