This course is designed to assist students in developing expertise and advance competence in practice nursing. It will enable the students to function as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, administrators in a wide variety of professional settings. This programme prepares nursing graduates who are professionally equipped to deal with day-to-day problems within the existing constraints and thus act as an agent of social change. For this programme, the course delivery method involves seminars, lectures, extensive lab and practical work and on-field training.

Eligibility
- The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife of equivalence with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc.Hons. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with not less than of 55% aggregate marks from an institution that is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
- 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ ST candidates.
- Minimum one year of Work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of Work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing.
- The candidate shall be medically fit.
- Candidates, who have passed any qualifying examination from any other University, shall obtain an Eligibility Certificate, from Chettinad Academy of Research and Education and produce the same at the time of admission and also remit recognition fee as prescribed.
