Master of Science in Medical Lab Technology (MSc in MLT)

Applicant should have done Graduation in any stream of Medical Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Technology and Life Sciences (Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Allied Biological Sciences). Minimum 55% aggregate marks for general category and 45% aggregate marks in case of SC/ST category.

MSc. (Medical Laboratory Technology) M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology is a two- year postgraduate course for students looking forward to building their career as a Medical Lab Technician. The course is designed to impart students & theoretical and practical knowledge of Microbiology, Haematology, Cytology, Blood bank, Biochemistry, Toxicology etc. M.Sc. Medical Lab Technology course produces practically experienced and technically sound professionals who are eligible to work in private hospitals and biomedical laboratory centres. The course curriculum focuses on knowledge of microbiology, immunology, and laboratory proficiency. Students learn the formation of various immunological disorders. The course helps to provide training in theoretical and practical aspects of microbiology and immunology, with emphasis on molecular biological techniques and the interactions at the interface between microbes and the immune system. Students will gain basic and advanced knowledge of important viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections. Students will learn about clinically relevant pathogens through an introductory module on Medical Microbiology and two specialized modules on Bacterial and Viral Pathogenesis.
