Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) in Pharmacology

Passed Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy. Obtained at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.

• Pharmacology is a medical science that forms backbone of the medicine and pharmacy professions, as the drugs form the corner stone of therapy in treating human diseases.
• Pharmacology is the study of interaction of drugs with living system which includes pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
• The department is engaged in teaching anatomy and physiology of human systems, pathophysiology of various diseases and also effects and properties of drugs on living systems by using animations and LCD projectors.
• Department is also involved in carrying out the projects which involves both in vivo and in vitro studies. Department mainly focusses on pre-clinical studies which is useful for both academics and research.
• Our department has a well-established animal testing house caged with experimental animals (Rats, Mouse, Rabbits, Guinea pigs).It is the screening center for all major departments like medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy and bio-technology.
• Department is well equipped specialized individual laboratories for anatomy and physiology and pharmacology, having specialized animal house, experimentation lab with no .of screening models and research house.
