Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) in Pharmacognosy

Overview

The department comprises committed faculty to provide an in depth knowledge in authentication, isolation of active principles, understanding of phyto-molecules their design and development, validation of phyto-molecules of natural origin, herbal formulation development and its standardization. Special emphasis is laid on cell and molecular biology relevant to biotechnology at PG level . The Pharmacognosy subject is taught for B.Pharm, Pharm.D and M.Pharm students. The department maintains a medicinal herbal garden in 2 acres which serves as a source for herbal drugs, preparation of herbarium and sometimes as a supply of raw materials to herbal industries.

Eligibility

Candidates should possess B. Pharmacy Degree awarded by any recognized University.
