Overview
Pharmaceutical Analysis essentially involves concepts and processes of drug development, elucidation of structure, qualitative, and quantitative analysis of a drug, and its contaminants.
Pharmaceutical Analysis is a branch of Practical Chemistry, and an advanced study of the series of processes involved in the identification, quantification, determination, and purification of a given chemical substance, in separation of the components of a solution or mixture, and in determination of structures of chemical compounds. Such substances may be single compounds or mixtures of compounds and may be in any of the dosage forms. Substances used as pharmaceuticals include animals, microorganisms, plants, minerals, and various synthetic products. Pharmaceutical Analysis is the determination of the quality of drug products via application of Analytical Chemistry.
