Overview
Pharmaceutical analysis is a branch of analytical chemistry. It deals with analysis of drugs and pharmaceuticals based on pharmacopoeial methods and newly developed and validated methods. Candidates enrolled to the course are imparted both theoretical and practical skill needed to operate laboratory instruments like UV SPECTROPHOTOMETER, HPLC, LCMS, etc., during drug analysis. This course includes an one year research involves developing new method and validation of new drug substances or drug products or developing new method of analysis for food or cosmetics or studying about the stability of the drug substances or drug formulations or developing new bioanalytical method for the drugs in biological fluids or toxicity of drug substances based on ICH guidelines or FDA guidelines.

Eligibility
Candidate should have Pass in the B.Pharm Degree examinations in an Indian University established by law in India from an institution approved by PCI and has scored not less than 55% of maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years B.Pharm).
Every student, selected for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI approved institution should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
