Overview

• Pharmaceutical Analysis deals with qualitative and quantitative analysis of drugs and pharmaceuticals. The Department is engaged in imparting knowledge in the field of modern instrumental techniques for B.Pharm, Pharm.D and all branches of M.Pharm.
• The department is actively involved in developing new analytical methods and their validation for the quantitative estimation of possible impurities in various dosage forms.
• In the area of research, the Department is involved in identity, purity, content and stability of starting materials, excipients and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
• The department is actively involved in the method development of synthetic and natural drugs, pharmacokinetic studies, TDM studies, stability studies, elucidation of newly synthesized drugs using infrared spectroscopy, UV.
• The Department is collaborated with other departments of the institution for research activities.
• The department of pharmaceutical analysis has the modern equipments with good infrastructure facilities.
• Analysis of drugs and pharmaceuticals forms the backbone of research and development in pharmaceutical industry.

Eligibility

Passed Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy. Obtained at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.
