The Master of Nursing (Graduate Entry) at the University of Sydney offers a pathway for individuals who have a prior tertiary qualification in another field to enter nursing as registered professionals. The programme spans two years full-time and integrates theoretical coursework, simulation-based learning and substantial clinical placements in partner health care settings. Students are immersed in diverse aspects of nursing practice, including acute care, mental health, community health, high-acuity settings, leadership, research capabilities and professional practice contexts. The programme emphasises transitions into nursing, global-aware professional practice, and the capability to function in dynamic health care systems. Students will also engage in clinical placements across the University’s major teaching hospitals (including Westmead and Camperdown precincts) and develop readiness for registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
