The division of public health dentistry has been functioning for the betterment of the society in providing dental health care through various activities. With the help of the public organizations, camps are conducted in the interior towns and villages of cuddalore district for the benefit of the public who do not have the facility to get quality dental care at their door step. Team of dentists with the help of visual aids, lectures and demonstrations educate the public regarding the basic oral hygiene practices and emphasis on the periodic visit to the dental hospital for maintenance of oral health.

Candidate must have BDS degree awarded by a university or institute in India & registered with the State Dental Council & has obtained provisional or permanent registration & has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.
