Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Prosthodontics and Crown Bridge

A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.

General Rules & Regulations:

• The course shall be of 3 academic year duration, during which students are trained in clinical efficiency, laboratory work and research by experienced teachers. Each department is well equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment.
• The training of postgraduate for degree shall be full time with graded responsibilities in the management and treatment of patients entrusted to his/her care.
• The participation of the students in all facets of educational process is essential. Every candidate should take part in seminars, group discussions, case demonstration, clinics, journal review meetings, CPC and clinical meetings, symposia, conferences and lectures during each year as prescribed by the department. Every candidate should participate in the teaching and training programme of undergraduate students. Training should include involvement in laboratory and experimental work, and research studies.
• Every Post Graduate candidate shall maintain a record of skills [Log Book] he has acquired during the three years training period, certified by the various Heads of Departments he has undergone training.
• Every candidate pursuing MDS degree course is required to carry out work on a selected research project under the guidance of a recognized post graduate teacher. The results of such work shall be submitted in the form of a dissertation. Every candidate shall submit to the Registrar of the University in the prescribed proforma, a synopsis containing particulars of proposed dissertation work within six months from the date of commencement of the course on or before the dates notified by the University. No change in the dissertation topic or guide shall be made without prior approval of the University.

The Candidates should report along with Original Certificates and Demand Draft for tuition fees & Other fee or UTR No for Transfer through RTGS as specified herein below.
The Candidates should bring the following certificates / documents in Original (along with 4 sets of photocopies of the same):-

• Provisional Allotment Letter generated through ONLINE (DGHS)
• NEET (PG) 2021 Score card
• NEET (PG) 2021 Admit Card
• Class 10th & 12th Mark Sheet as proof of Date of Birth
• BDS – I Year / II Year / III Year / IV Year & Consolidated Mark Sheets
• Attempt Certificate
• CRRI Completion Certificate/Course Completion Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Provisional II /Degree Certificate
• State Dental Council Registration Certificate
• Transfer Certificate
• Community Certificate (if OBC/SC/ST)

1. SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority in the given format and should be in English. If it is in any language other than English, the English version of the same should be submitted.
   Sub caste should be clearly mentioned in the certificate.
2. OBC certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub-caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. The OBC candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer. The OBC certificate must be in the given format.
3. Disability Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board for 21 Benchmark Disabilities as per the Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016. No other PH certificate, issued by any other Authorities/ Hospital will be entertained.

• Migration Certificate
• DCI Recognition letter from the college.
• Proof of identity (PAN Card &n Aaadhar Card) – Original for verification and return (Photocopy to be submitted).
• Passport size latest Photograph of the Candidate (10 Nos).
• Parents’ passport size photos (2 Nos).
• Local guardian’s passport size photos(2 Nos).

Candidates without original certificate/ documents shall not be allowed to take admission. Candidates who have deposited their original documents with any other Institute/ College/ University and come for admission with a certificate stating that “their original certificates are deposited with the Institute /College/ University” will not be allowed to take admission.
Allotment letter given by DGHS for admission, is subject to fulfillment of all eligibility criteria prescribed by the DCI and Medical fitness of the candidates. Those who do not fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria and not found medically fit will not be admitted to the course of study to which they are allotted by the DGHS.
