Overview
Prosthodontics is a branch of dentistry concerned with the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and maintenance of oral function, comfort, appearance, and health in patients suffering from clinical conditions caused by missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes.
The department features separate clinical sections for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as a state-of-the-art Pre-Clinical Laboratory, casting/ceramic lab, and clinical lab. In addition, the department meets all of the requirements for infection control. The department is equipped with the most up-to-date equipment and devices to support enhanced student training as well as diverse treatment approaches for patient satisfaction .
Students have access to a well-stocked library that includes textbooks, journals, educational charts, demonstration CDs, display models, a chapter-by-chapter question bank, previous year's question papers, and a multiple-choice question bank. To strengthen trainees'/students' skills, the department hosts a variety of free camps and community outreach programmes.
