Overview
- Postgraduate courses started in the year 2007 in four subjects prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral pathology, and oral surgery with 8 students being admitted per year. Recently the college has an intake capacity of 26 postgraduate students per year in 8 different subjects; Endodontics, Prosthodontics, Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology, Periodontics, Pedodontics, Orthodontics, and Oral diagnosis Medicine and Radiology.
- Our postgraduate residents represent the best of the strong applicant pool and are committed to becoming outstanding clinicians and leaders in their communities. It is mandatory that the candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria set by “The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- for Postgraduate” (NEET – PG) to gain admissions in the postgraduate course of dentistry. Selections of students depend upon their score secured in the above-mentioned examination.
The goals of the post-graduate training in various specialties are to train the graduate in Dental Surgery who will,
(i)Practice respective specialty efficiently and effectively, backed by scientific knowledge and skill
(ii)Exercise empathy and a caring attitude and maintain high ethical standards
(iii)Continue to evince keen interest in professional education in the specialty and allied specialties whether in teaching or practice
(iv)Willing to share the knowledge and skills with any learner, junior or a colleague
(v)To develop the faculty for critical analysis and evaluation of various concepts and views and to adopt the most rational approach.

Eligibility
A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognized degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognized dental college.
