Periodontology is a branch of dentistry concerned with the normal anatomy, pathology, and treatment of illnesses affecting the periodontium (supporting structures of the teeth). A periodontist diagnoses and treats periodontal diseases and disorders, as well as educates patients on how to avoid them.
we have aimed to teach students ethical practice, empathy for patients, sterilization and disinfection principles, proper clinical skills, and research methods. The faculty uses a mixed learning strategy to teach the students, mixing traditional chalkboard instruction and PowerPoint presentations with online instruction and evaluation.
