Overview

    • The Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry has been formed on the firm belief that "Every child has a fundamental right to his total oral health".
    • Our concerns are the health of a child as a whole, more specifically the oral health; early diagnosis and prompt treatment; restoring the mouth to good health; to observe and control the necessary developing dentition of the child patient, relief of pain; increase awareness among parents and care-givers; instill a positive attitude and behavior; restore the lost tooth structure and management of patients who are physically, mentally disabled and medically compromised children in an efficient and orderly manner so as to avoid discomfort to the patient and at the same time avoiding any bias towards the special condition of the children.
    • Pedodontist also holds the privilege of being the first person to diagnose the earliest signs of any systemic disorder which are manifested more frequently in a child???s oral cavity as compared to adults.

Eligibility

    A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.

BDS (Bachelor Of Dental Surgery)

Admission Process:

    There shall be a uniform NEET for admission to the post-graduate dental courses in each academic year conducted in the manner, as prescribed by the National Board of Examination or any other authority appointed by the Central Government in this behalf. The overall superintendence, direction, and control of the NEET shall vest with the Council.
