Overview
he Department of Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics specializes in the correction of defects in the jaws and teeth through the use of various removable and fixed appliances. Treatment takes the form of pre-adjusted edgewise appliances, lingual appliances, ceramic braces, myofunctional appliances, clear aligners, surgical orthodontics and micro implant based orthodontics. Department of Orthodontics deals in the treatment of patients with dentofacial deformities predominantly dental and skeletal malocclusions, cranio facial deformities, particularly cleft lip and palate.
The Department has excellent facilities ranging from separate UG and PG clinics with computers connected to a central server. The department has an advanced digital imaging and treatment simulation system, a first, which enables planning of complex procedures.

Eligibility
- He / She shall have BDS degree from college or university recognized by the dental council of India and RGUHS.
- Candidate not possessing a recognized Dental qualification for the above purpose must secure the prior approval of his/her qualification by DCI before admission to the MDS course.
- Students for MDS course shall be admitted strictly on performance at the competitive examination held by State Govt. / Universities / KRLM institutes as per guidelines.
