Applicant should have Pass in BDS degree from a university recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI).
Orthodontics studies the growth and development of jaws and the face, particularly, and the body generally, and how they influence the position of teeth. It studies the action and reaction of internal and external influences on the development of teeth and the prevention and correction of arrested and unequal development. It is an area concerned with the supervision, guidance and correction of growing and mature dento-facial structures, including those conditions that require a movement of teeth or correction of malrotation and malformation of related structures.
Objectives:
This program is designed to train dental surgeons with a career in Orthodontics and dento-facial Orthopedics with an emphasis on prevention as well as correction.
