MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics

Overview

Welcome to the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. The commonest dental problems in Indian population are dental caries and dental pain. The primary goal of this department is prevention, diagnosis and treatment of sequelae of dental caries and associated dental pain and the other defects of natural teeth to restore the teeth to full function and appearance in an aesthetically pleasing manner. This department runs with a mission to promote health care, provide education on par with international standards and pursue excellence in patient management.
The department boosts its three separate clinical sections for the undergraduates, interns and postgraduates allowing efficient treatment for patients according to their specific needs. There are approximately 30 undergraduates, 10 interns and 18 post graduates catering to the needs of patients apart from dedicated faculty for supervision and treatment. The department treats on average 45000 patients annually.

Eligibility

A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.
