The Master of Clinical Science at UTMB is a graduate research-oriented degree housed within the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. The curriculum blends advanced coursework in biomedical sciences (such as physiology, pharmacology, biostatistics, research design, and ethics) with mentored research experience. Students typically develop, conduct, and present an independent or collaborative research project under faculty supervision. The program is designed to enhance students’ analytical skills, scientific writing, understanding of clinical research methodologies, and ability to interpret complex biomedical data. Graduates are prepared for continuing advanced training, research careers in academic, clinical or industry settings, or enhancement of clinical professional practice or doctoral training.
