Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Sports

A candidate must passed BPTh from a recognized university and successful completion of 6 month internship.

Qualified Sports physiotherapists help sportsmen and sportswomen to reach peak performance and advise them on injury prevention and recovery from injuries. Sports physiotherapists work with top-level performers, amateurs or people who take part in sport as a leisure activity. The work would include:

• Examining and diagnosing injuries
• Planning treatment programmes
• Using treatments such as manipulation, massage, heat treatment, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, ultrasound, acupuncture and hydrotherapy
• Advising on timescales for returning to sport after injury
• Keeping full records of your patients' treatment and progress

They can also work as fitness experts in different settings like five star hotels and health gyms, sports clubs, spa, health resorts etc.
