Master in Physiotherapy (MPT) in Cardio Respiratory

Overview

• The Cardio-Respiratory Physiotherapy department aims to clear the lungs of secretions, reduce the effort of breathing, improve exercise tolerance and functional activities. Physiotherapy is necessary for patients with mechanical ventilation to prevent respiratory complications. The cardiac rehabilitation trains to care the patients after their cardiothoracic surgeries to progressively improve the gaseous exchange and Cardio-Respiratory fitness as quickly as possible, helping them to reduce the length of hospital stay and to enhance a speedy discharge from hospital.

FACILITIES:

• Cardio-Respiratory Department has highly qualified teachers and fully equipped with advanced equipments for the purpose of teaching, clinical training and research.

Eligibility

• BPT from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 50% marks and 6 months of internship in the same field.
