About
The Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College was established in year 1966. The foundation stone of this prestigious institution was laid on 13th September 1963 by then Hon’ ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Late Shri Chandra Bhanu Guptaji, and its named after Lala Lajpat Rai, the Lion of Punjab, one of the well known freedom fighter. The first batch comprising of 58 undergraduate medical students was admitted in August 1966. In 1968 the intake capacity of the institution was raised to 100. It is affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) University, Meerut.
Facilities:
Library: The central library of LLRM Medical College, Meerut has a collection of 15855 books including text and reference books, 8600 journals,161 CD Roms and 243 e-journals. The library has a seating capacity for 300 students and a separate reading room for faculty with a seating arrangement of 50 people. The library is also provided with internet facilities to provide easy access to information for students and staff.
