KMCT Ayurvedic Medical College, Kozhikode

In the year 2006, KMCT group started KMCT Ayurveda College to spread out KMCT’s legacy in Ayurvedic system of medicine. Approved by CCIM, the college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences [KUHS]. KMCT Ayurveda College is a minority status institution with a mission of serving humanity inculcating supreme moral values to the students. The institution offers bachelor degree programme in Ayurvedic Medicine, i.e., Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.). The Ayurveda College is attached to KMCT Ayurveda Hospital, one of the finest Ayurveda hospitals in Kerala. The hospital comprises of hundred beds and eight separate specialty departments. The sufficient number of patients supports the undergraduate students to ripen good skills and confidence.

Facilities:

Library: The college library is a treasure house with 20000 books related to Ayurveda and Modern medicines. Newspapers, journals and bi-weekly magazines related to medicine are also offered for updating the knowledge of the students.

Computer Lab: Computer lab facility is also made available for students. The college has a pharmacy unit where medicines for IP patients are prepared and quality of the medicine is never compromised.

Transportation Facility: The institution offers conveyance facility for staff and students. The bus routes are carefully structured so that our students can arrive safely on time. Along with the conveyance facility, the public transport service is also easily accessible to the campus.

Laboratories: Our departments have their own practical labs with a seating capacity of more than eighty students at a time. The labs like Dravyaguna, Rasashastra, Roganithanam, and Shareerakriya of the college are exceptional.

Hostel Facility: Separate hostels are available for both boys and girls. Along with that, there are interns hostel, residential quarters, teaching and non-teaching staff quarters and nurses hostel inside the campus. They are secure and well maintained.

Canteen: Our canteen facility serves nutritious snacks, drinks and meals all through the day. All the food items are cooked and served in a clean and hygienic environment.

Lecture Hall: We have a total of five lecture halls used by different departments. The lecture halls can accommodate more than 100 students each. They are spacious and fitted with all modern amenities like overhead projectors and microphones.
