Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hubli

The Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Hubli was established in August 1957. The institute initially started functioning in the J.G.Commerce College building but was later shifted to the permanent campus at Vidyanagar, Hubli which lies with an area of 100 acres of land. The institute was earlier known as Karnataka Medical College but later got changed to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli after receiving autonomous status from the Government of Karnataka in June 1997. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, Karnataka. All the programs of this institute are recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
