Joint Doctoral Program in Health Science

Overview

• The Joint Doctoral Program (JDP) is a collaboration between Deakin University, Australia and Chitkara University, Chandigarh.
• The JDP seeks to recruit research scholars keen in engage in the domain of Healthcare Sciences.
• The PhD scholars will get an opportunity to conduct research under the joint supervision of experts from both Chitkara University and Deakin University.
• The research scholars will collaborate with globally renowned researchers and have access to Deakin University's research labs in Australia.
• Upon completion of the program, scholars will receive PhD degree from both Deakin University and Chitkara University.
• Selected candidates for this JDP will spend up to 12 months at Deakin University campus in Australia, based on performance and research progression.

Financial Assistance

• Fellowship of INR 30000 per month during residency at Chitkara University.
• Fellowship amount as per the prevailing rate of Deakin University post graduate research scholarship shall be paid during residency at Deakin University. Deakin shall also provide a full tuition fee waiver for up to 4 years once the candidate joins the doctoral program.

Eligibility

• A master's degree that includes a research project in a related area with a minimum thesis of 10000 to 20000 words.
• Relevant postgraduate research experience shall be taken into consideration, including publications in refereed journals and papers.
