About

The Institute of Human Genetics (IHG) is a non-profit foundation for research in Genetics and Endocrinology, founded in year 1994. It was founded by Dr Jayesh Sheth and Dr Frenny Sheth in 1994. It is a state of the art genetic diagnostics and transnational research firm. It supports a culture of cross-discipline collaboration and clinical translation strategies. The founders are involved in high-level strategic decision making and clinical duties, the institute’s day-to-day operations are overseen by the Leadership team. The IHG has designed a set of unique educational and training opportunities in effort to bring together talented and intellectual students in order to bridge the gap between classrooms and real world. The training offers exposure in the area of clinical genomics, sequencing and genetic counselling. It is aimed at young professionals with qualification of BSc/ MSc/ MRes/ PhD/ MBBS/ MD in biotechnology or medicine who want to learn about clinical genomics in the era of high-throughput genomic technologies. It also offers Ph.D. studentship, which is recognised by Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, India and CHARUSAT University, Changa, India. It is conducted jointly by FRIGE (Foundation for Research in Genetics and Endocrinology) and the university.
