Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), Patna

The IGIMS was established on 19th November 1983, as an autonomous organization on the pattern of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Its core objectives are to provide super specialty medical facilities not only in Bihar state but large stretches of the northeast region comprising Sikkim, Nepal, Bhutan, etc. The institute campus has spread over 130.20 acres of land, including hospital, and academic institutes like Medical College, Nursing College. The IGIMS is a deemed university recognized by UGC.
