Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (GIPS), Guwahati

Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (GIPS) was established by Shrimanta Shankar Academy (SSA) in 2007, with the prime objective to provide best pharmaceutical education and to promote research and development activities in North Eastern region of India. The institute has the vision to produce world-class, competent pharmacists who will make a long-lasting impact in the field of pharmaceutical and health sciences. The college is affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) and approved by PCI & AICTE.

Facilities:

Library: The library, which is central to providing quality Engineering, Management, Pharmaceutical education to students, currently boasts over 40000 volumes books serving near about 2500 students and 180 faculty & staff. 

Hostel Facility: Students can avail of the hostel facility on a first-come-first-serve basis. The hostel is well furnished and comfortable. Its facilities make it an ideal place to stay and study. There are separate hostels for boys and girls.

Transportation Facilities: The institute provides bus service along prescribed routes between the City and Institute. Candidates can avail the facility by paying nominal fees to the institution.

Canteen: A well-equipped canteen is housed in a spacious building proving breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks at moderate cost.

Gymnasium: A well-equipped gymnasium has been housed in a spacious building. Candidates can use the facility free of cost.

ATM Facility: An ATM of State Bank of India has been housed within the institute campus for ease of monetary transaction.
