Overview

INTERNSHIP : (Integrated Practice )

• Internship means 8 hours of integrated clinical duties in which 2weeks of evening and night shift duties are included (in the final year).Internship should be carried out as 8 hours per day at 48 hours per week.
• Students during internship will be supervised by nursing faculties.
• Students are eligible to sit for fourth year final examination only after successful completion of internship.
• Students who miss any part of the clinical experience for reasons other than availing the sick leave will be required to compensate.

INTERNAL ASSESSMENT:

• 1. A Continuous method of evaluation of each student is done taking into consideration of her performance in theory, practical and viva voce .
• 2. The aggregate marks in each subject scored by the students will be sent to the university once in three months as Internal assessment marks.
• Obtaining 35% of marks in each subject as internal assessment is mandatory to appear for the university examinations.

Eligibility

• Should have completed the age of 17 years and not have exceeded 30 years at the time of admission. Candidate should complete the said age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first year nursing course. Married and widowed girls can also take up the opertunity.
• Should have passed the qualifying examination after a period of 12 years of study with the any group.
• A candidate before admission shall submit a medical fitness certificate from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course and does not suffer from any disability or contagious disease.
