General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

Overview

GNM is a three‑year diploma programme designed to equip students with clinical nursing skills, midwifery, community health, and health education. It combines classroom-based theory, simulated labs, and significant hospital and community-based clinical practice. Completing GNM qualifies students to work as staff nurses in hospitals, clinics, and primary healthcare centers. It also creates a pathway for advanced studies (like Post‑Basic B.Sc. Nursing) and roles in public health and midwifery work 

Eligibility

Passed 10+2 (preferably in PCB + English) with minimum aggregate marks (~40–45%).

Must be at least 17 years old at time of admission; maximum age typically around 35 years as per Gujarat norms

Gujarat domicile status may be required for state counselling admissions.
