General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

Overview

The G.N.M. course is a three‑year full-time diploma designed to train students in general nursing practices and midwifery. Recognized by INC and under the oversight of Gujarat University, it prepares learners for roles as staff nurses and midwives in hospitals, clinics, and community health centres. The curriculum combines theoretical instruction and hands-on clinical training. The program intake is limited to around 40 students annually. The medium of instruction is English, and upon completion, graduates can register as Registered Nurses (RNRM) and pursue further education such as Post‑Basic B.Sc. Nursing. 

Eligibility

10+2 with English (40% marks minimum, English separately 40%)

Vocational ANM or Health Care Science stream with 40% also accepted

SC/ST candidates get 5% relaxation; 3% disability reservation for locomotor disability (40‑50%) subject to verification

Minimum Education
