General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

• Age: Minimum 17 years, Maximum 35 years
• 10+2 pass (Arts or Science stream) with English, minimum 40% marks
• Students from State Open School or National Institute of Open School (NIOS) are also eligible
• Must be medically fit

The GNM diploma prepares students to become competent general nurses and midwives capable of providing comprehensive nursing care in hospitals and community settings. It includes coursework in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, psychology, nursing fundamentals, community health nursing, child health nursing, and midwifery. GNM nurses play a vital role in maternal and child health, basic emergency care, and outpatient departments.
